more like marvel knows what it’s fans actually want/need
How is this at all controversial? They aren’t just “making Captain America black,” they’re making Sam Wilson
(that one guy)
the next Captain America. And it makes sense that he would be his successor. This isn’t a case of race bending, pandering, or something totally revolutionary by putting this black man in a spot that makes sense for him to be in the first place. I don’t get how this is Marvel giving the finger to any readers since, from what I’ve seen, a lot of fans have been expecting this anyway.
i’m more interested in how they will make thor a woman.
Similar thing, kind of. The idea they’re going with is that Mjolnir’s new wielder takes on the title of Thor.
that’s cool but i’m curious about what will happen with thor’s family, is she gonna adopt them as well or what?
ok THAT makes a lot more sense.
I was confused, like, sure, diversity is nice, but forcing it is just kinda white-washy and not very interesting. Successors? Yeah, that makes sense
The thing that pisses me off is that in the comics Hawkeye took over as Cap after Steve died, not Sam
